Twas The Night Before Christmas Part 1 & An Easy Recipe

Josh, Colton and I had so much fun on Christmas Eve this year. We started our Christmas Eve family traditions starting with looking at all the pretty Christmas cards we received this holiday season. I just love seeing them all displayed in the living room!

We received this pretty calendar in the mail! Thank you VistaPrint!

This pretty Christmas card arrived at our house on Christmas Eve. It was one of my favorites.

Our next tradition we started was to grill steaks. I think this tradition will only work for warmer Christmas Eves. We opened a bottle of our favorite red wine from San Sebastian Winery.

Like my new found love of my Crockpot I also have a new found love for roasting vegetables. I decided to roast yellow squash and zucchini. I just drizzle a little Extra Virgin olive oil and sprinkle with my favorite seasonings. Believe it or not Canadian Steak seasoning mix made by Tone's is delicious on roasted yellow squash and zucchini. Salt and pepper works great too.

About to pop the veggies in the oven.

I roast them for about 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

I also baked potatoes. I prefer to drizzle a little Olive Oil and grind some sea salt and fresh ground pepper before I wrap in tin foil.

While I was preparing the veggies we had our top sirloins marinating in some Dales, olive oil, garlic powder and salt and pepper.

Getting the grill ready.

Grilled yumminess!

Christmas Eve truly was so fun this year!
