Bottoms Up & Good News

Well this week marks the 27 week mark in my pregnancy. It was time for me to take the Glucose Tolerance Test. This can test for several different medical conditions but the purpose of me taking the test was to check for Gestational Diabetes. Sometimes even if a woman does not have diabetes when she is not pregnant, she can develop Gestational Diabetes during pregnancy. I actually took this test 3 years ago when the doctor was concerned I had very low blood sugar levels. The last time I took this test I was fortunate enough to get the red one. This time I was not so lucky and was given the orange flavor. The nasty orange stuff was worth it because my doctor called me yesterday afternoon and said that I did not have Gestational Diabetes. Woo Hoo!
